Foster Care Action- Agency Leaders & Staff

Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA): CFSA is a DC Agency that investigates reports of child abuse and neglect and provides a home for child and young adults who are not able to live with their families. CFSA also provides community based services for families working to overcome difficulties.

CFSA Director Raymond Davidson is at the top of the “chain-of-command” of the agency. Everyone who works within CFSA ultimately answers to him. Although your social worker is the first person that you should contact if you continue to experience and issue and your social worker, your social worker’s supervisor and others are not helping them you should contact Director Davidson and Deputy Director Davidson. It is best to contact them by email and phone.

Office of Youth Empowerment (OYE): Division of CFSA that support older foster youth ages 15-20.  The division offers an array of resources and opportunities for in the areas of education, employment and financial literacy. The majority of older youth in foster care have their cases managed by OYE social workers.
